CARL HIGBIE (HOST): Now, Trump has already received oil from Venezuela, and we will likely be the beneficiaries of oil production from Iran shortly, 90% of which we weren't getting, it was actually going to China. Who, by the way, not sure if you know this, but see this video right here? These are actually rare videos that we get out of China. This is their fuel situation right now. By all accounts this looks like it came from last night. It looks like the U.S. under Jimmy Carter's oil debacle back in the 70s. And them hurting is good for America because guess what? Trump has leverage on them. Price of goods -- if China is starving for oil, which they do need more than us, with America controlling formerly 20% of their supply. And keep in mind, folks, we are still a net exporter ourselves. We can push them around on trade.
Look, I'm not saying it's good, OK? Americans are hurting mostly from Biden's 25% inflation during his presidency.
But this is short term, and I'm asking you to just trust the man, OK? Trust the system. Let him cook. He said it today. He's working on it. This is a really unfortunate short term reality of a complete realignment of global powers that the last five presidents outside of Trump literally did nothing about. So let him cook.
