MEGYN KELLY (HOST): The truth is that they're talking about a deal that looks very much like the JCPOA, the Obama deal that President Trump said he hated and was so proud to eviscerate. We're talking about a deal right now that looks a lot like that, and the reports are that President Trump is trying to make sure it doesn't look so much like that, that people can use that against him.

But that's just a nightmare. And here we are where the Iranians are still — now they've realized that they have this pressure point that they can unleash on us, which is control over the Strait of Hormuz, which, yes, that hurts the global economy. We're hurting the Iranian economy by not letting shipping traffic go in and out of these Iranian ports, which was a good counter move because we needed a pressure point on them, and it is hurting them.

But they're still hurting us. They're hurting the world economy by not allowing shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. And all of that is already manifesting in our gas prices and is only going to continue to. I don't think President Trump is right based on all the economists I've listened to that as soon as the war is over, it instantly goes down. That's not true.

The rolling inflation that's coming our way as a result of what's been happening in the strait is coming like a tidal wave no matter whether the war ends tomorrow or not. The only question is how long is it going to go on and how big is it going to be, and we can control some of that by ending it sooner rather than later.
