Steven Crowder is suspended from YouTube again

Steven Crowder's YouTube channel has been temporarily suspended again

On May 12, Steven Crowder announced on Twitter that his YouTube channel has been temporarily suspended, noting on his site that the platform had barred his StevenCrowder channel from posting content for two weeks and his CrowderBits channel from posting content for one week. This is the second time YouTube has suspended Crowder’s account in less than two months.

YouTube put a strike on Crowder’s April 21 episode in which he discussed the Columbus, Ohio, police shooting of Ma'Khia Bryant. According to Crowder, YouTube said he violated the platform’s policy on harassment, threats, and cyberbullying. During this episode, Crowder and his crew mocked Bryant for her weight, with Crowder emphasizing how much she weighed and co-host Dave Landau saying that her “fifth DoorDash had just shown up.” This episode has since been deleted from YouTube.

Crowder’s YouTube channel is a cesspool of racism, bigotry, hatred, bullying, and misinformation. In March, YouTube removed a video from Louder with Crowder for violating its COVID misinformation policy. The platform further demonetized Crowder’s account, preventing him from earning money from advertisements on the channel.

After his first YouTube suspension on March 30, Crowder announced his intention to evade the ban by using his other channel. Now, YouTube has prevented his capacity to do that by temporarily suspending both of his accounts.

YouTube has now placed two strikes on Crowder’s channel. If he receives one more strike, his channel will be permanently suspended.
