EMILY JASHINSKY (HOST): Johnny in Iowa, you're on The Megyn Kelly Wrap-Up Show. What's on your mind?
CALLER: Yeah, I'm with Megyn on this. It's not America first. I'm a truck driver and on Monday, I fueled diesel and today I fueled again. I paid 67 cents a gallon more in diesel. I have, you know, 300 gallons I put in. So that's a lot of money from Monday to now, and I know that that's not the only thing that's we're going to be affected as far as -- everybody right now is just trying to make ends meet and everything else. We don't need more of this, not right now. This is the wrong time to do any of this.
And I heard some of the stuff that Megyn Kelly was talking about with that guy in the law -- the picture that everybody keeps, the big picture. But, I mean, Americans are -- we're -- we're struggling here. We need help. And we're supposed to be America first. That's why we voted President Trump in. I voted for him every time. And I voted for him because he was America first, and get rid of the illegals, and it's not happening. This war is going to be costing us, and we're all going to start paying more for everything. That's how I feel about it.
JASHINKSY: Yeah. Johnny, I think there are a lot of people out there who feel like you do. And I just want to ask, you know, when President Trump said he wasn't going to start wars, he was going to end wars, and he, you know, he was very -- still very hostile towards Iran. But I'm assuming that when you heard that, like many people, you sort of took it seriously that he really meant he was not going to start new wars.
CALLER: Right, yeah, that's why, like I said, I voted for him every time because, you know, he's always said that he's not about war. He doesn't like war, and he doesn't want it. So, I mean, I try to understand the bigger picture, but at the same time, America's supposed to be first. Every one of us. I'm American. I'm paying 67 cents a gallon more, not even a week later. It's only four days later. So I know it's just going to keep going up, and that's -- it's not America first.
I mean, I hate to say it, but, I mean, we need to get back and, you know, start doing the things for, you know, Americans' daily lives. This is our daily lives, and we're hurting out here.
