As with everything surrounding the White House Correspondents Association dinner, the menu has become as sought-after as the star-studded guest list and the First Lady's choice of designer dress.
Well, here it is, courtesy of Ed Chen, WHCA president and Bloomberg White House scribe:
 Salad

Organic Wheat Berry Terrine and pea tendrils
 Corn, Brussels sprouts, shaved fennel
 Jonal crab claws
Lemon verbena and opal basil iced tea vinaigrette

 Entrée

 Herb crusted petite filet
 Paired with roasted Halibut
Corn and Dauphinoise, seasonal baby vegetables
 Pomegranite demi and basil Gremolata

 Dessert

Amaretto chocolate truffle
 Green tea crème brulee
 Basil cheesecake
Already announced, of course, is that Jay Leno will be the featured entertainer and the event is set for May 1. Having attended two of these dinners, in 2006 and 2007, one of the things I remember most is having to duck and jump out of the way of waiters who barge through the crowds on a mission, giving no leeway to guests who block the aisles, whether they are some bureau reporter or the caliber of a Wolf Blitzer or Katie Couric.
Can't blame them too much, with more than 2,000 guests to feed, they have to get it there fast.
