Fox anchor suggests it's harmful to American democracy for a former FBI director to “trash a duly elected president”

BILL HEMMER (ANCHOR): I'm wondering if there are aspects of our government in Washington, D.C., that allowed a former FBI director to put out a book and to go on ABC and trash a duly elected president -- whether you like him or not, whether you voted for him or not, whether you like his policies or not -- but to trash our democratic system, and only surrender these memos three, four days later after the subpoena came from House Republicans. And you just think about that, Steve, and think about where we are when we allow something like this to happen and what it does to our own institutions that we so dearly love and want to protect and keep intact long term.
