AGUSTÍN ACOSTA (HOST): But there are two figures at the moment who are to blame for what is going on. Not for the death of Mr. Pretti, not the lady who died earlier, but the number of American citizens who have been run over and imprisoned for days until they proved they are American citizens born in this country, and they are Mrs. Kristi Noem and Mr. Stephen Miller. Due to the comments of these two people, I smell an element of anti-Hispanic racism with them, above all in the case of Stephen Miller, who is the man who whispers in the ear of Mr. Donald Trump. At the end of the day Trump is responsible for everything because he’s the boss, he can switch them out, he can fire them, he can put them in their place.

CARLOS ACOSTA (HOST): Or hire them, like he did.

AGUSTÍN: From the pragmatic point of view, what these two people are doing to the administration of President Trump is suicide. We are coming up on elections in November. I was looking at a poll the other day, and a year ago independents made up a third, Democrats another third, and Republicans another third. There is a great desertion of people who are becoming independents. The Republican Party has lost 7% or 8% of their members who are becoming independents, and these two people will be to blame for President Trump losing control of one of the two chambers in November and it becomes a lie of a presidency, because they will rain down impeachments, and he said as much the other day. I’m not here predicting with a crystal ball, Trump himself warned his party, If we lose in November, it’s over, and these two people are to blame.

I don’t know if people know that Mr. Homan and Mrs. Noem are enemies within the government itself, they hate each other to death, and Trump probably sent Homan, who is a person with much more experience and is much more sensible, and perhaps with more ability to be able to manage the crisis in Minneapolis, where the two people I have mentioned have stepped in  and unjustifiably messed things up. But at the end of the day, Trump is the one who has them there, because he could have gotten rid of the two of them, he could have sent off one of them to an embassy in Burundi, and the other to the Ivory Coast. There is a racist element here, and whoever doesn’t want to see it, caramba, sooner or later they will realize.
