Appearing on Fox News' Hannity tonight, Mike Huckabee said: “I've seen the Israeli border and the fence that so many people around the international community hate. But guess what? There aren't any suicide bombers anymore. You know why? Because they built the fence. You want to fix the border security issue? I'm sorry, you've got to build a fence. It just makes sense.”

Odd that Huckabee would think a fence could “fix the border security issue” given that any time Fox News and other cable networks cover border related stories, they run b-roll footage of migrants easily climbing over fences.

And just last month Fox aired a viral video of two women scaling a border fence in 18 seconds. Fox & Friends host Gretchen Carlson asked, “You've got to wonder how much our tax dollars have paid off on this fence thing.”

Did Fox learn the lesson that economic forces will overpower any deterrent effect a fence might have?

Well, after watching the video of the women rapidly climbing over the fence, Fox co-host Brian Kilmeade concluded: “Put a double fence there.”
