Does Tom Keller have the right idea? The two-year sports writer for the News & Record of Greensboro, N.C., has given up journalism for comedy, according to Editor John Robinson.
“Tom won a North Carolina Press Association award for his work here, and he's won best comic at various standup clubs,” Robinson writes.
Given the job market for reporters, comedy may well have more security.
If he was covering politics, he could likely work a lot of comedy into it.
