Horowitz to Rosen: Jews “went to the ovens” because of “psychological denial” ... “and that's the way I see the Democratic Party today”

On The Mike Rosen Show, conservative author David Horowitz commented:
"[P]sychological denial is what the left is about. It will not recognize that we have enemies that want to kill us. The Jews did this during the Second World War; that's why so many of them went to the ovens."

On the August 15 broadcast of Newsradio 850 KOA's The Mike Rosen Show, guest David Horowitz, co-author of the recent book, The Shadow Party: How George Soros, Hillary Clinton, and Sixties Radicals Have Seized Control of the Democratic Party (Nelson Current, August 2006), commented: "[P]sychological denial is what the left is about. It will not recognize that we have enemies that want to kill us. The Jews did this during the Second World War; that's why so many of them went to the ovens. They would not believe the Germans, uh, would incinerate them, and therefore they didn't defend themselves -- uh, and that's the way I see the Democratic Party today."

From the August 15 broadcast of Newsradio 850 KOA's The Mike Rosen Show:

HOROWITZ: [George] Soros is now a leftist, um, and that's one of the kind of revelations in our book, we go through, uh --

ROSEN: What caused him to become ideologically passionate, then?

HOROWITZ: Well, you know, if, I, I think, you know, if I have to look into the psychological factors; there's a lot of denial. People are in denial. They don't want to -- to face the fact that we have at least -- if half the Muslim world supports Osama bin Laden, which some of the statistics say, that is 750 million people. People do not want to recognize that we're in a war -- that we're going to have to go to war with Iran and Syria. Who're we fighting in Iraq? Where do they get the bombs that blow our troops up? They get them from Iran. The terrorists are coming in through Syria and Iran. Uh, just the way Israel was facing Iran in Lebanon - it's not Hezbollah - Hezbollah gets a hundred million dollars a year from Iran in addition to all the missiles. It is a complete pawn and creation of Iran. People do not -- they don't want to confront that. So what they do is; they blame Bush, you know? They blame America. If only America, uh, was less successful. If only America, if only we didn't have troops in Saudi Arabia -- I guess that's what Osama bin Laden didn't like -- why were there troops in Saudi Arabia? Because Saddam Hussein had just swallowed Kuwait and was, was about to swallow Saudi Arabia. We went there to defend them. It is, it's beyo -- well, it is not beyond me, but I see -- psychological denial is what the left is about. It will not recognize that we have enemies that want to kill us. The Jews did this during the Second World War; that's why so many of them went to the ovens. They would not believe the Germans, uh, would incinerate them, and therefore they didn't defend themselves -- uh, and that's the way I see the Democratic Party today.

ROSEN: OK, let's take a break.
