Fox's Raymond Arroyo attacks the pope for pointing out the contradiction in claiming to be pro-life while supporting the death penalty

RAYMOND ARROYO (GUEST): This moral ambiguity here, you can't trade -- I'm sorry, with apologies to the holy father, he knows this. And again, this is an off the cuff interview, it's not dogma, but it's awfully confusing. Social media is exploding with people so upset about this because you can't say a grave, always evil act like abortion is on the same par with unfettered immigration or the death penalty. By the way, the death penalty is the church's response to those who take innocent lives. The church has always, from Augustan to Pius X to John Paul II, said they don't prefer it but the death penalty is an option and morally licit if it's carried out without vengeance. The holy father has a clean up act to do here.
