From the February 13 edition of Fox News' Fox & Friends:
BRIAN KILMEADE (CO-HOST): Ted Cruz figured out that [Joaquin] “El Chapo” [Guzmán] has got $14 billion out there. They haven't collected it yet, but it's out there. “When we get it, let's put a piece of legislation forward that allows us to put it towards the wall.” Now, this is not going to go anywhere because it's not going to get 60 votes in the Senate, because nobody wants to give the president a victory, as we've seen witnessed over the last three months --
AINSLEY EARHARDT (CO-HOST): It's such a good idea, though, right?
STEVE DOOCY (CO-HOST): It's a great idea.
KILMEADE: Well -- it's not a practical idea but it's an intriguing one.
EARHARDT: Everyone knows it's not going to happen, but it's such an excellent idea. It's taking drug money and building the wall to prevent more drugs from coming over the border. And he says all gangster money from here on out that's drug money should be used for national security.
DOOCY: Yeah, why not?
DOOCY: When you think about it, the president has said all along, in the beginning, you know, “We're going to get Mexico to pay for it.” This would be an indirect way to make Mexico pay for it.
EARHARDT: That's true. That's true.
