Far-right conspiracy theorists such as Alex Jones regularly peddle false-flag conspiracy theories, claiming that events and tragedies, such as the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in which dozens of young children and teachers were murdered, are false-flag events that were either faked entirely or carried out by someone other than the actual perpetrators to advance a hidden agenda or to frame people.
