GOP House nominee J.R. Majewski praised bullying for allowing kids “to compete” and attacked anti-bullying efforts as Marxist

J.R. Majewski from War Room

J.R. Majewski said on his now-defunct streaming program that he supports kids being bullied in school, agreeing that some kids need to get beaten and stating that bullying allows them “to compete” with others. He also attacked anti-bullying campaigns, calling them “a tactic of nihilism, communism and socialism and Marxism” and a product of “participation trophy” culture.

Majewski is the Republican nominee for Ohio’s 9th Congressional District, which is considered a “toss-up.” He is a QAnon supporter who said, “I believe in everything that’s been put out from Q.” Majewski is also a January 6 insurrectionist who claimed that he “wanted nothing more than to go” into the Capitol, but stayed outside the building. CNN's Andrew Kaczynski and Em Steck also reported that he said after the 2020 election that Trump states should secede from the United States.

Majewski briefly co-hosted the streaming program Earcandy. During a show on January 30, 2021, Majewski praised bullying and complained about anti-bullying campaigns.

Majewski agreed after one of his guests said that some kids “need their ass beat.” He then stated of anti-bullying efforts: “What does it do? It doesn't allow kids to compete. Right? And it does go into the participation trophy, right? That is in itself – right there, that is a tactic of nihilism, communism and socialism and Marxism.”

He complained further that stopping bullying “strips away your individualism” because you aren’t allowed to compete. He added that he was bullied and he later “was kicking the bullies’ ass.” Majewski also said: “Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying, you know, it's right for kids to get bullied in school to the point where they're, you know, you know, talking suicide or anything like that.”

J.R. MAJEWSKI (CO-HOST): It strips away your individualism because you don't participate. One of your core, fundamental, biological, innate behaviors is to compete. You're wired to do that, male or women. It is in your DNA. There's nothing you can do about it, just like fight or flight, right? Those things, you're wired to compete. You are. We are, you know – again, we're wired to be people that travel in herds or packs. You know, humans don’t – humans aren't loners. We need social relationships. We're a social species. And part of that dynamic is competition. So when you take out bullying, right – now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying, you know, it's right for kids to get bullied in school to the point where they're, you know, you know, talking suicide or anything like that, OK? But when I was a kid, I got bullied for a good year. And then guess what? Next year I was kicking the bullies’ ass and I was actively looking for those bullies and that changed my life. And I was young when I did that.

He added that being bullied makes him “wired” to look for people who might have been treated unfairly and “make them feel part of a group.”

Majewski also stated that people who support anti-bullying campaigns are trying to “forcefully remove certain social dynamics" and declared: “These people are doing it for a reason. It’s not because they want your kids to be happy. It’s because they want to mindfuck your kids so your kids are more malleable and more of a herd mentality when they get older.” He concluded, “That's why these people have attacked our school system, because they can fill education with propaganda on one aspect and the other is they can fuck with the social dynamics, right? Take away recess, take away gym, make kids lazy. You know, give everybody a trophy so they have to, you know, compete half-assed.”
