Maria Bartiromo on revelation that Trump reimbursed Michael Cohen: “CNN was reporting this as such a bombshell. I don't know ... I sort of knew”

From the May 3 edition of Fox Business' Mornings with Maria Bartiromo:

JASON CHAFFETZ (FOX NEWS CONTRIBUTOR): I think it's a one day story, I think -- if the prosecutors are hanging their hat on this story, it's going to come and go in a hurry. But I -- Rudy Giuliani on the team, has the trust of the president and -- of Donald Trump, they've known each other for decades and he's a welcome relief on that team. I think he will be leading the charge.

MARIA BARTIROMO (HOST): I know CNN was reporting this as such a bombshell. I don't know, James, are you surprised? Is this -- I mean --

JAMES FREEMAN (THE WALL STREET JOURNAL): No.

BARTIROMO: I sort of knew that the president knew it and paid it back. Did you -- I assumed, I assumed.

[...]

FREEMAN: I always thought the campaign finance allegation was a real reach. Even if the president hadn't reimbursed him, this would have been a new interpretation of the law that previous precedent would say it wasn't going to stand up in court anyways. So this kind of makes it even less of a legal story.

BARTIROMO: The biggest mistake -- well, obviously he had this one night stand with Stormy Daniels and now she's wanting money.
