LAURA INGRAHAM (HOST): Well, and I think people are feeling -- people are feeling -- they're feeling resentful about being lectured from afar, given the hundreds of millions of dollars a year, if not in the billions, that we spend on illegal immigrants. They send $20 billion back to Mexico and Central America, about $20 billion. Now, given that, it would seem that we're getting the short end of the stick here, when in California we have dozens of languages being spoken in a public school. You tell me what the English-speaking poor kid, black, white, brown, Asian, where does he or she get to go to get a quality education? When the teachers are pulled in every direction, when the state is having to hire teachers from overseas to come teach these kids. And, by the way, Chinese, Hmong, the Somali languages, very remote languages that were never even an issue in the United States. So that's costing the good people, Catholics, Christians, that's costing them opportunities and money. Does the pope care about that? Again, then take down the wall around the Vatican. I'm so tired about being lectured about walls and borders by people who are protected by both.
