ROB FINNERTY (HOST): Today, all 27 member countries in the European Union said they would not help to secure the Strait of Hormuz. That got no attention. Many of these countries are NATO countries who seem to forget how important we are to their own safety.
...
FINNERTY: NATO has got 32 member countries, but I don't think that Russia is afraid of the majority of them or all of them, except for one Estonia, Latvia, Croatia, Romania, or I could go on. They are afraid of the United States. The United States is the check and balance in NATO. The Ukrainian capital has not fallen tonight because of the United States, not Latvia. But our allies, many who also rely on the Strait of Hormuz for oil, are refusing to help America secure the strait so oil tankers can pass through safely without getting blown up. But please keep the checks coming to Ukraine, and we're going to need the drones and keep the missiles coming and the tanks and the anti-aircraft equipment, everything. Keep it coming to Ukraine. Keep writing those checks, America. Think about that.
America doesn't even buy oil from Iran, meaning we can walk away any time we want to and declare victory, which is what I think the president should probably do soon. While countries like Germany, Australia, Italy, our allies, our friends do nothing, one leader reportedly said hell no when he was asked about helping Donald Trump, that's a quote. Meaning our allies want peace, they like peace and they love cheap oil. But as always, it's our problem, not theirs.
