LAURA INGRAHAM (HOST): When we have all the oil and gas that we need in the United States, is it our job to reopen the strait? Right now, Iran is holding the world hostage by threatening the strait. But President Trump basically is saying, "Look, Europe, all of you, you want it open? You need to step up." So, Europe decides to convene a meeting, the U.K. convened it. It was a virtual meeting today, about 40 nations. And what we heard from the U.K. at this conversation about what to do with the Strait was the typical global bureaucrat speak.

INGRAHAM: Nothing came of this meeting. This is what you need to know. It's basically a meeting to agree to have another meeting. Typical. Okay, they're so used to our doing the heavy lifting. And French President Emmanuel Macron said that it's never been an option we have chosen and it's unrealistic to I guess work with any kind of force on the strait. That means basically it's back to square one.
