MELISSA FRANCIS (HOST): [Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein] went out of his way to point out that there was a rally on the same day, one for and one against, that the idea was to sow discord, that no one in this indictment cooperated with the Russians then. It didn't influence the outcome. I can feel President Trump wanting to tweet right now and tell everyone that he's totally cleared. Is that premature? 

ROBERT DRISCOLL (FORMER JUSTICE DEPARTMENT OFFICIAL): Well, yes, I think you have to listen carefully to what Rod -- Deputy Rosenstein said it. What he said is the indictment does not allege that this affected the outcome of the election. So, what he's saying is that -- and the indictment does not allege that any Americans knew. That doesn't mean that the special counsel doesn't have other parts of this case or other tentacles in this case that may pick up Americans at some point. But in terms of this indictment and what we're talking about today, yes, the indictment is not alleging it had an effect on the outcome of the election, nor is the indictment alleging that an American had anything to do with this other than as people who were duped.
