According to impeachment testimony released Thursday, U.S. diplomat George Kent said the State Department contacted Fox News host Sean Hannity, asking him to stop smearing then-U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch. On the November 7, 2019 edition of his radio show, Hannity claimed Kent's testimony was false:
