MARIA BARTIROMO (FOX BUSINESS ANCHOR): There is a draft of a new book that is being released by former national security adviser John Bolton. In the book, Bolton claims President Trump told him last year to keep aid to Ukraine frozen until the country helped investigate former vice president Joe Biden and his son. The president took to Twitter to deny this claim. The president writes this: "I never told John Bolton that the aid to Ukraine was tied to investigations into Democrats including the Bidens. In fact, he never complained about this at the time of his very public termination. If John Bolton said this, it was only to sell a book." Dagen.

DAGEN MCDOWELL (FOX BUSINESS ANCHOR): This was leaked as a PR stunt by the publishers of this book. I would allege, I would argue, I would guess, that this is to gin up interest in this book which is, again, the timing is suspect because this is right when the defense is getting ready to start presenting its case, it started on Saturday, but the real heart of it will be today. This is about selling books and how it changes the impeachment process. I will just quote from Andy McCarthy, because he said this over and over again on Fox News and on Twitter: "For the millionth time, POTUS' strategy should have been steer clear of the underlying facts, argue that even if all this is true, that he squeezed the Ukraine, nothing happened and it's not impeachable. Fighting on quid pro quo always made him vulnerable to Bolton and other shoes dropping, asking for trouble." That's Andy Mccarthy.
