TREY GOWDY (FOX NEWS HOST): I've known Kristi for 15 years, we came into Congress together, her husband is a friend of mine, her daughter worked for me. I think there's a temptation in our culture to want to be first and not necessarily want to be right. I've seen this video. Look, I was a prosecutor, I used to watch these videos for a living. This guy is not a domestic terrorist. And I don't understand why it is so hard for those of us in public service to say from time to time, ‘You know what, I got it wrong. I got it wrong. I was given bad information. I looked at the wrong evidence.' I mean, people will trust you more if you say, ‘you know what? I did not get that one right.' The moral of the story is wait until the investigation is over, as hard as it is, no matter where you are in law enforcement, let the facts lead your talking. Do not talk and then hope the facts match up later on. It's OK to say ‘I don't have an answer to that question right now,' in fact, it's preferable.
