LISA BOOTHE (GUEST CO-HOST): Stuart, President Trump's tax cuts have taken a hit from the Democratic candidates over the last two nights. Who actually benefited?

STUART VARNEY (FOX BUSINESS HOST): Oh, let me tell you. OK, 82% of middle class people got a tax cut under President Trump's policy, which averaged $1,260 per year. Ninety percent of the overall population saw an increase in their take-home pay. Now, Joe Biden says that Trump put us in a horrible position, his words. He's referring to income inequality. But if all of these people get all of these benefits from Trump's tax cuts, do they lose those benefits when Biden and [Sen. Kamala] Harris [(D-CA)] and the rest repeal those tax cuts? Yeah, they pay more in taxes. That's not progress, that's going backwards, and it would ruin the economy.

BOOTHE: Do you think Americans are aware of the benefits they have received on the tax cut.

VARNEY: No.

BOOTHE: Is President Trump doing a good enough job messaging that?

VARNEY: No. I think the Democrats have done a very good job demagogueing the tax cuts as only benefiting the rich, which is absolutely not true.

BRIAN KILMEADE (CO-HOST): Stuart, you didn't just benefit the rich. You benefited America by coming on today.
