After being suspended from YouTube for anti-trans hate speech, Steven Crowder continues to spew anti-trans hate speech on YouTube

Crowder used Megyn Kelly's channel to push more anti-LGBTQ hate

On October 13, Steven Crowder announced on Twitter that he had been suspended from YouTube for anti-trans hate speech. This was the third time YouTube had suspended Crowder in 2021. The Louder with Crowder episode which triggered the suspension featured a segment on alleged pregnancies in California female prisons. As Mashable’s Matt Binder reported, the story Crowder discussed is not true:

Crowder was referring to a segment he did alleging that a transgender person in a women's prison sexually assaulted and impregnated a fellow inmate in California. In January, a state law known as SB 132 that allows transgender people to be placed in an incarceration facility that is consistent with their gender identity went into effect.

However, no one in California's women's prisons has become pregnant while in custody, according to a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) spokesperson.

…

While YouTube has policies against spreading misinformation on its platform, it's unclear if the company was aware that Crowder repeated a debunked claim in his video. According to YouTube, Crowder's suspension is due to the rhetoric used in the video, which violated its hate speech policies.

While his suspension was still in effect, former Fox host Megyn Kelly hosted Crowder on her show, which also airs on YouTube. During the interview, Crowder continued to spew anti-trans hate speech, including mocking trans parents as “one stop short of Buffalo Bill.”

STEVEN CROWDER (GUEST): There's a difference between that and the secretary of transportation who -- first off, shows you how useless he is that no one noticed.

MEGYN KELLY (HOST): I know, it's crazy.

CROWDER: Like, no one was going 'hey, where's Pete? Where, where, where is he? I don't know. He's chest feeding some child with fake rubber tits I guess.'

KELLY: Stop it. That was a joke by Tucker. He was not. He said Tucker doesn't understand bottle feeding.

CROWDER: The problem is -- no. No, no, no, no, no. I reject your premise. Let me explain to you why I reject your premise --

KELLY: Why?

CROWDER: 'Cause then Pete Buttigieg goes, 'well, it seems to me that Tucker doesn't understand the concept of bottle feeding.' Oh, do you mean he might be confused because you have been pushing the concept of chest feeding because men can breast feed too and chest feeding persons? In other words, you don't get to make the premise and then act like someone's absurd for accepting it. Good for Pete Buttigieg that he doesn't do the chest feeding. But I saw people on the cover of -- I don't know if it's Vogue or People magazine -- you know, it's one stop short of Buffalo Bill. At a certain point when you're saying I don't want a mom to be breast feeding this child but I'm going to put on a fake apparatus and convince the world that I can chest feed too -- 'it puts the lotion on its' -- it's getting really, really, really weird --

KELLY: Oh, that Buffalo Bill. The Silence of the Lambs. Ok, not I got you. 'Or else it gets the hose again.'

CROWDER: 'I chest feed me. Put the chest milk in the basket.'

For her part, Kelly told her audience that though she was unable to confirm Crowder’s allegations of pregnancies in California prisons, “none of this needs to be confirmed because we do have, and you posted this, several actually confirmed cases in the past of trans individuals hurting other people via sexual assault or rape.”

MEGYN KELLY (HOST): Well, so, here's the thing. Two points on this. We looked it up to find out -- because most of the reporting links back to this WOLF, W-O-L-F, which is an acronym, stand for Women's Liberation Front. It's a feminist organization that's been reporting on this. And so far as we can tell, they claim that a female inmate in a California women's prison became pregnant after biological males, trans women, were housed in the prison. We have not been able to confirm that. Daily Wire, Ben Shapiro's organization, they did some work trying to confirm that as well. And the California Bureau of Prisons is denying it, saying we do have some pregnant women in our prisons but they were pregnant when they got here. They were not impregnated by trans prisoners who have been transferred from the men's prison. But WOLF, this organization, is standing by it's reporting, saying we're in contact with women in these prisons and our information, often, comes out before yours does. So I don't know what the truth is. But there certainly has been this reporting out there. And it is indisputable that the California women's prisons are allowing biological males in, thanks to a law pushed by Assemblyman Scott Weiner.

...

Look, none of this actually needs to be confirmed. Because we do have, and you posted this, several actually confirmed cases in the past of trans individuals hurting other people.

Crowder’s show has long been a source for vile bigotry, hate speech, bullying, and misinformation, and YouTube has policies against all. At Fox, Kelly hosted an anti-LGBTQ hate group and repeatedly mocked and dismissed transgender people. You can find more about the group “Women's Liberation Front” and its ties to far-right groups here and here.
