Update (3/15/23): Following the publication of this article, Forward’s Adam Kovac reported that ads for Netflix “were no longer appearing on the site. A Netflix spokesperson declined to comment.” He also noted: “When the Forward sent links to some of the Holocaust denial videos, a Rumble spokesperson replied, saying one of the videos had already been removed and 'the other video and channel have been disabled for violating our content policies.'”
Advertisements for Netflix have been appearing on Holocaust denial videos on the video-sharing platform Rumble. The ads should serve as a reminder to advertisers that Rumble, a publicly traded company, is a cesspool of hate and bigotry.
Rumble is heavily populated by far-fight figures, and while it claims to have “strict policies” against antisemitism, the site has not taken down numerous videos promoting Holocaust denial. Media Matters reviewed many of those videos and found that several Holocaust-denial videos featured advertisements for Netflix.shop. Here are some examples:
