Fox anchor Maria Bartiromo quote-tweeted a QAnon Twitter account highlighting President Donald Trump’s praise for her during their interview at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, writing, “I am so honored by this. His legacy will be one of real leadership.”

She subsequently suggested that Trump praised her because “I seeked out the truth 3-years ago while so many took [America] on a collusion goose chase.” She also wrote that her “viewers knew better from day one” because she frequently hosted Reps. Devin Nunes (R-CA) and John Ratcliffe (R-TX) on her Fox News program Sunday Morning Futures.

The account that Bartiromo quote tweeted is a promoter of the QAnon conspiracy theory, which the FBI has identified as a potential domestic terrorism threat. The account’s bio contains “WWG1WGA,” an abbreviation of the QAnon slogan “Where we go one, we go all.” It has also promoted the harmful Seth Rich conspiracy theory. This is not the first time a Fox News personality has elevated the QAnon conspiracy theory.
