GRANT STINCHFIELD (HOST): The NBA’s career scoring champ should stick to basketball, not slamming gun owners and the Second Amendment. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is becoming more and more of a disappointment every time he opens his mouth or pens an anti-gun piece for an anti-gun publication like The Guardian. Airing his complaints of course in a British-owned outlet is par for the course for liberals who despise the America that I love so much. Abdul-Jabbar, a man who basically invented the skyhook, can’t come up with his own material when it comes to gun bashing. Reusing tired old anti-gun lobbying talking points, this is what he writes, “In the real world, where issuing thoughts and prayers to victims’ families is easier than turning down gun lobby money, we need to demand extensive gun legislation that restricts who gets guns, what kind of guns are available, and why they want guns. Anything else is senseless. And we know what that leads to.” The entire statement is designed to warp the minds of the uninformed. I won’t even give the thoughts and prayers bit any of my time. When I offer prayers for anyone I mean it, unlike the left that doesn’t believe in the power of prayer. How dare this man tell us he wants laws that demand we tell some bureaucrat why we want a gun.

For years Kareem Abdul-Jabbar walked onto the floor of The Forum surrounded by armed security. He acted on movie sets, surrounded by armed security. He has the gall to demand that I, that you, law-abiding citizens need to prove why we need a gun. It is none of his business and he talks about senseless, what is senseless is to go after law-abiding Americans, gun owners who have nothing to do with the crimes being committed across America.
