NRATV host after MD newsroom shooting: Without my gun, “I would have been just like those people hiding under desks”

Stinchfield praises NRATV for letting him carry

From the June 29 edition of NRATV’s Stinchfield:

GRANT STINCHFIELD (HOST): What happened in Maryland is why I carry my firearm every day. Because even though 60 to 90 seconds is unbelievably fast, it is not fast enough if you’re staring down the barrel of a gun. Here is my message to every business owner in America: If you have employees that are licensed to carry a firearm, let them. They are your first and often your last line of defense if a deranged lunatic is hellbent on killing. We know that newspapers, TV stations, places like NRATV make waves across the country. In fact, it’s their job to make waves. But it can anger people. I worked in newsrooms across this country, NRATV is the only newsroom that I work in where I know there are lots of us who carry a firearm. No other newspaper, no other television station allowed me, even though I was licensed, to carry my firearm at work. I would have been just like those people hiding under desks when a man with a shotgun is firing wildly at them.
