Newsmax host claims that Spike Lee and Al Sharpton identify with criminals

Newsmax host Rob Schmitt: “those two identify more with the members of the Black community that are killing, that are carjacking, that are robbing, people that are raping, than they do with the law-abiding members of the Black community.”

ROB SCHMITT (HOST): I wanted to get your reaction to a clip that I played in the monologue.

Spike Lee and Al Sharpton sitting there joking about how the violent thugs in New York would never allow the White House to stop them from committing crime and from victimizing people in Brooklyn, central Brooklyn, and the Bronx. And you have you have both of them sitting there laughing about it, because those two identify more with the members of the Black community that are killing, that are carjacking, that are robbing, people that are raping, than they do with the law-abiding members of the Black community that have to live through that and have to, you know, have to exist in that, in that environment. And I just thought that was the most disgusting soundbite. I think Spike Lee is an idiot. I think Al Sharpton is an idiot. I think they're both embarrassing. And I can't believe that they had the gall to do that on television.

SEBASTIAN GORKA (GUEST):  But why, Rob? That's who they are. And thank you for sending me that clip earlier today. It is a perfect exemplar of the champagne socialists, the limousine liberals that they are. These people roll around in their SUVs with their drivers, with their armed bodyguards. They have no idea what it's like to live in one of these cities. They are so detached from reality. I wish they will continue to spout that because it demonstrates one thing, their complete disconnectedness from the real Americans who have to live in the real world, who don't have bodyguards, don't have drivers, don't roll around in limousines. That clip, Rob, was absolutely perfect and is a self indictment of both of those men.

SCHMITT: Yeah, I think about — I think about all the Black citizens in Washington DC that abide the law, that go to work every day, that are happy to see what's happening right now, watching that clip and watching them threatening the White House to not make their community safe. You know, and thinking about the fact that Spike Lee and Al Sharpton are worth millions of dollars and want them to continue living in a hellhole because it's sexier for their broadcast. That's who I think about.
