MATTHEW FOLDI (CO-HOST): Mercy, you're not in the White House anymore --

MERCEDES SCHLAPP (CO-HOST): Why do you have to start with me?

FOLDI: I have to start with you. You're not in the White House this time around --

SCHLAPP: Right.

FOLDI: But you're in constant contact with these people. How could — or should or will — President Trump get the team back together? There's a lot of wins, a lot of momentum. He's signing bipartisan legislation at the White House today —

SCHLAPP: Right.

FOLDI: And yet we're leading off the show talking about the Epstein files.

SCHLAPP: I know.

Every day we are not talking about in the administration, Trump administration is not talking about the successes of the One Big Beautiful Bill. Obviously — now that's, you know, now that's been passed and signed by the president — talking about securing the border, talking about our great economy, that's a day that the administration is not delivering their message to the American people.

And so you've seen so many of these MAGA influencers killing off MAGA, and they are almost like possessed by this issue of Jeffrey Epstein, falling into this trap. And it's quite unfortunate in my opinion.

And look, I do believe that you're going to need the Department of Justice to come out with a plan of action. Obviously, we know that the process is this — you're talking about the fact that the grand jury, there's a lot of sealed documents involved. You know, the federal judges have not allowed these documents to see the light. So we might not see this. You would need legal action to, in some way, basically remove these redactions. And so that's — that could be a possibility.

But I do think that, you know, the Department of Justice, both Pam Bondi, Kash Patel — they're going to have to address this issue. There's going to have to be certain actions taken place. The problem is I think that they haven't necessarily explained the process, which is that of the fact that many of these documents are court documents, sealed documents that will — that we're not going to be — have access to.
