Newsweek's Isikoff Jumps Ship For NBC

As Newsweek awaits its fate and future owners, one of its top scribes is departing, according to MediaBistro. Its DC Fishbowl site reports Michael Isikoff is leaving the newsweekly for NBC.

His departure comes as Newsweek is being shopped by The Washington Post Company to numerous potential buyers, including the conservative Newsmax.

“The announcement was made today by NBC News President Steve Capus," MediaBistro stated. “According to a statement, 'Isikoff will report for all platforms of NBC News, including 'NBC Nightly News,' 'Today' and MSNBC. Isikoff will also contribute to msnbc.com in a branded destination for the website.”
