Laura Ingraham announces she’s boycotting Airbnb in support of her “dear friend,” white nationalist sympathizer Michelle Malkin

During the February 8 edition of her eponymous podcast, Fox host Laura Ingraham hosted white nationalist sympathizer and far-right pundit Michelle Malkin to complain about vacation rental platform Airbnb banning Malkin after she attended a gathering organized by a white nationalist hate group.

As the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Hannah Gais recently documented, Malkin spoke “alongside a former Klan lawyer and several prominent white nationalist propagandists” at an annual event organized by a self-declared “race-realist, white advocacy organization,” The American Renaissance.

Gais additionally noted that “in her speech, Malkin extolled those far-right extremist activists involved in ‘hand to hand, pen to pen combat against the vast anti-white, anti-American forces bent on demographic mass murder,’” and later “compared herself to the white nationalists in the room, claiming that ‘one way or another, they – we – have arrived at the same shared destination point.’”

On her show, Ingraham called Malkin her “dear friend” and praised her for being “way ahead of the curve on so many of these social issues.” She claimed Malkin was the victim of “un-American” censorship and complained that anti-fascists are still allowed to use Airbnb.

Ingraham also attacked the SPLC, calling it a “hate group” and saying it “promote[s] hate and division in the United States.”

Ingraham then declared she was personally boycotting Airbnb, stating, “I'm not using Airbnb. Bye. …. I've used them before, not going to use them now.”

After the interview ended, Ingraham warned her listeners of “certain groups of Americans with enormous amounts of power” that “use viewpoint discrimination to call anyone with whom they disagree, a … ‘dangerous hater,’” and stated, “That's the whole point of the First Amendment: You can say repugnant things.”
