Fox News host Jeanine Pirro reportedly endorses far-right troll Laura Loomer for Congress

Fox News host Jeanine Pirro may have just kicked up some more trouble involving her habit of endorsing political candidates — this time supposedly throwing her support to Laura Loomer, a far-right provocateur who has called for Muslims to be outlawed from running for political office.

The far-right site Culttture reports that at a private book signing event this past Tuesday in Florida, Pirro endorsed Loomer’s candidacy and told the audience: “You must do everything you can to elect Laura Loomer for Congress in Florida. She is the most bright, quick witted candidate I have ever met. She must win. She’s the only one who can take on the squad.”

Loomer is also quoted in the piece as saying, “I’m honored to have the support of one of my heroes and close friends, Judge Jeanine Pirro.”

It’s unclear whether the Culttture report is fully accurate, but Pirro has thrown her support behind partisan campaigns before. She has made appearances at Republican fundraising events, flouting the official — but hardly enforced — Fox News policy against “any talent participating in campaign events.”

The Culttture post also included a tweet showing Loomer seated next to Pirro at the book signing event.

Pirro in fact highlighted Loomer for praise in the book itself. And Pirro isn’t alone here: Fox News host Pete Hegseth has also promoted Loomer’s candidacy, tweeting (but later deleting) a link to her fundraising page.

Loomer is a notorious troll who has, among other things, interrupted a Hillary Clinton book event to yell out Seth Rich conspiracy theories, teamed up with hoaxer Jacob Wohl to stage some kind of publicity stunt against Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and declared that “Muslims should not be allowed to seek positions of political office in this country. It should be illegal.”

Loomer has been banned from Twitter, Facebook, both Uber and Lyft, PayPal, GoFundMe, and other prominent online platforms and services. She has filed a lawsuit against Facebook — seeking damages of $3 billion — and has also boasted that her candidacy is itself at least in part a possible mechanism to get her social media accounts restored.
