GREG KELLY (HOST): You're damn right he was smirking at you. Nobody talks like that in real life. RFK is doing — I think he's pretty cool. I like him, you know, he's fantastic on nutrition and he's — it's a free country. It is. And the overreaction to the flu. How about the measles? Right? Watch out the killer measles.
...
KELLY: All right. I mean, you can see it. It's over the top sometimes. Breaking news. Another outbreak. This, that, and the other thing.
Chillax a little bit.
Just remember what happened when we were little kids. Who remembers The Brady Bunch? I remember it in reruns. Not when it was on, actually on regular network TV, when Peter came home. Not when he kissed Millicent. Not when he had the paper out, not when he was scoop Brady, but when he — when he had the measles.
...
KELLY: Wow. Why don't they call the fake news hotline and panic? Because we were healthier back then. Mentally, physically, in so many ways. That show was on TV 1969 to 1974, I believe, coincides with the Nixon administration.
...
KELLY: Oh, Alice, I'm sure you'll get over those measles just in time for Sam to take you to that meatpackers ball. How about that?
You know, they don't tell you when somebody dies of measles these days, there are comorbidities. There are other conditions going on, and one little can push you over the edge. Just a lot cooler back then.
