GREG KELLY (HOST): So, I'm a little bit — look, I love everybody in MAGA. Still, we got to be smart about how we spend our money, right? And we can't — I don't know. I think being in the government is more than an ego trip. Because that's Kristi Noem, the Department of Homeland Security secretary on a horse in South Dakota on a work day. Every day is a work day when you're the DHS secretary. We got a lot of things going on. But this is a commercial that I presume is paid for by our tax dollars. I saw it on television a couple of times. Is it worthwhile? Is it necessary? Is it even desirable? Let's take a look.
...
KELLY: I don't know. I guess that is, if I look hard enough, that's the — Mount Rushmore in the background. Is it? As she — yeah, I think it is. Don't really show it off all that well — she's what this ad is all about. Right? Look at her on a cowboy — in a cowboy hat or whatever. It's fine, I guess, if she wasn't in the president's cabinet, what happens next in this little spot.
...
KELLY: All right, back up. What was she doing on that horse this time? She's rounding cattle or something like that. Give me a break. I mean, she's got other responsibilities other than look at me. Aren't I fabulous? Aren't I kind of hot on this horse? I think that's part of it. I do. Sorry.
What else?
...
KELLY: I know that already. I don't know, I don't know. This is about her, not about us, and not about protecting America, I fear. Maybe I'm being a little bit harsh here, but I'm sorry. All that makeup and that horse and that — what else?
...
KELLY: Well, that sounds pretty tough. Very tough.
But you see, all that stuff is not happening where she is on the border, right? I see her on that horse again. It's just — it's not — yeah. That's — it doesn't work. It somehow doesn't work. I think the judgment is off.
Now, I'll tell you what, that DHS job isn't a spokesmodel job. And President Trump ordered that the refugee program be suspended, and he ordered it on January 20th. And there was a lot of administrative review to do. And it's right in here. It goes on and on and on about all the stuff that has to be done. The secretary of Homeland Security shall suspend decisions on applications for refugee status until a finding is made in accordance with section four of this order. And then, of course, that crazy guy from Afghanistan opened fire. It looks like he became a citizen in April. Look, Biden totally screwed this stuff up, and she's a great person, I'm sure.
But less time on the horse and more time at the office with the files. OK? We know you look great, but I think there are more important things to do next.
