Greg Gutfeld will tape Fox News shows that require proof of vaccination or negative tests

Gutfeld and his Fox News colleagues have repeatedly criticized vaccine requirements

Fox News and host Greg Gutfeld are putting on a week of shows in Texas that require attendees to show “proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test.” Gutfeld and his colleagues at Fox have repeatedly derided COVID-19 requirements.

Fox News will be taping Gutfeld's weekday program Gutfeld! at Gilley's Dallas between February 21-25. An event page for the shows states: “Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test, taken within 48 hours of show date, will be required for admittance to this event.”

Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test, taken within 48 hours of show date, will be required for admittance to this event. For expedited entry, we recommend that unvaccinated attendees get tested prior to arrival. There will be same-day testing available on location from 1pm-5pm CT for unvaccinated ticket holders on a first come, first served basis. Name on vaccination card or negative test result must match name on government-issued photo ID.

Some other upcoming shows at Gilley's Dallas do not appear to have vaccination or testing requirements for entry.

Gutfeld, like many of his Fox Corp. colleagues, is vaccinated. Still, that hasn’t stopped the network’s personalities from frequently criticizing vaccines and attacking pro-public health measures like vaccine requirements.

For example, Gutfeld said on his show last August: “In New York City, Bill de Blasio introduced a vaccine passport to the city. ... The new passport system calls for showing proof of vax to enter gyms, restaurants, and entertainment venues, which judging by the stats I just mentioned, effectively bans most Blacks. Just like the Dems did to them during the classic Jim Crow days. So who is the Hitler now? If 70% of Black New Yorkers are unvaccinated, they're the ones getting banned. Talk about white privilege.”

The vaccination and testing requirements are yet another example of the double standards employed by Fox News. In November, the network threw an awards show for its Fox Nation streaming service that also required proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test. And the network’s parent company, Fox Corp., has required that New York City-based employees submit proof of at least one vaccine.

CNN’s Oliver Darcy reported in July of last year of Fox News: “While its television hosts railed against face masks, the company issued guidance recommending employees wear them. It also said it would require people attending tapings of host Greg Gutfeld's show to wear masks.”
