Fox's Dana Perino derided then-Trump Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany's future job prospects compared to her own in the days following the 2020 election. In text messages disclosed as a part of Dominion Voting System's lawsuit against Fox News Colin Reed, a Republican consultant, wrote “You're going to be good next year, regardless f=of what happens at FOX” adding, “not everyone can say the same”. Dana added “Yes I have to say that aspect of things really does feel good. I feel free!” Reed quipped, “What is a Kayleigh or Mercerdea going to do after this? Trump TV?” Perino replied, “Newsmax! Or run his pac.haha”.

Kayleigh McEnany was hired by Fox News in March 2021.
