Right-wing media are launching attacks at the women protesting in Minnesota

In response to Renee Good’s death and the subsequent large scale anti-ICE protests, right-wing media have lashed out at and ridiculed one group of protesters in particular: women. Commentators across television, podcasts, and print have called women participating in protests “neurotic," “brainwashed,” and even “human shields for the party machine.”

  • Right-wing media attacked Renee Good in the wake of her death

    • Fox News host Jesse Watters called Renee Good “a woman who was in severe crisis” and “lived a very sad and very chaotic life.” [Fox News, The Five, 1/8/26]
    • Watters said Good and her wife Becca were “not innocent women” but instead “hardcore trained anti-ICE agitators.” He elaborated: “They don't deserve to be shot for insulting this ICE officer, but when you're driving a car right at them, these things can happen.” [Fox News, The Five, 1/9/26]
    • Watters called Good a “militant mom who’s out of her mind.” He subsequently rattled off: “Why is the Democratic Party sending women into the trenches to put their bodies in between foreign criminals and federal agents?” [Fox News, The Five, 1/12/26]
    • Nick Fuentes declared Renee Good as “a civilizational enemy,” noting that “people like this are our political enemy, and we have to defeat them.” He remarked: “She is the enemy of your children, she is the enemy of your ancestors.” [Rumble, America First, 1/14/26]
    • Megyn Kelly on Renee Good's family: “I have empathy for them because they had a dumbass mother.” [SiriusXM, The Megyn Kelly Show, 1/16/26] 

  • Right-wing media attacked women protesting Good’s death and ICE

    • Fox host Will Cain declared: “We have an epidemic, a lost generation of white women.” [Fox News, The Will Cain Show, 1/9/26]
    • After playing a clip of a woman weeping at a protest, Laura Ingraham claimed that the protesters don’t “care about Renee Good any more than they care about the refugees or the migrants,” and instead what they care about is “their social media clicks.” A chyron appearing wrote “Karen’s react to ICE shooting.” [Fox News, The Ingraham Angle, 1/9/26]
    • Jesse Watters claimed, “These women think it's a game." He continued, “These warriors, mostly women, have nothing better to do in the middle of the day, on a week day, than to drive around and block immigration cops from doing their jobs.” [Fox News, Jesse Watters Primetime, 1/9/26]
    • On Timcast IRL, Tate Brown: “There is, like, something to be said about the fact that the foot soldiers for this sort of leftist resistance are, like, middle-aged moms.” Guest Phil Labonte added, “The left wants those women out front because then this kind of stuff happens. Not because they're going — not making a joke about women drivers — but the point is: if you have women on the front lines and they're out there, they feel like they're above the law. … They do that because they want that kind of imagery where an ICE officer is beating up a woman or shoots a woman or something like that because it’s really, really good for the propaganda.” [YouTube, Timcast IRL, 1/8/26]
    • Will Cain: “There's a weird kind of smugness … in the way that some of these liberal white women interact with authority.” [Fox News, The Will Cain Show, 1/12/26]
    • Fox host Greg Gutfeld also criticized female protesters: “Think about this pathetic movement and all the videos you've seen of these women. Where are their friends? Where are their parents?” He also claimed that “nobody cares about Good.” [Fox News, The Five, 1/12/26]
    • On Jesse Watters Primetime, podcast host Benny Johnson: “A lot of these women are in fact what JD Vance once called childless cat ladies.” He added, “If you are a woman, you’re still created by God with a motherly instinct. It's just when you don't have children, that instinct moves somewhere else. And for leftists, that primary instinct has moved to the criminal alien.” [Fox News, Jesse Watters Primetime, 1/12/26]
    • Right-wing podcaster Steven Crowder said that “white, middle-aged, liberal women” gravitated “to wailing in the streets and acting completely irrationally.” He added, “Has there ever been a group more privileged than white women in the 21st century?” [YouTube, Louder with Crowder, 1/12/26]
    • Crowder singled out “white liberal women, specifically because they are the only ones with the power as a voting block to transform the fabric of our country as they have.” He continued: “They're influenced by evil. Anyone want to watch that shrieking, that completely irrational display of undirected emotion and say that it's anything other than straight from the pill of hell?     • Megyn Kelly called women protesting ICE “a Karen intifada.” Kelly said: “These unhappy, empty-lived leftists are now vowing to take on law enforcement, pretending like they're both, like a badass, cop-busting, you know, vigilante type, and also, they're the victim because they're already the next Renee Good.” [SiriusXM, The Megyn Kelly Show, 1/12/26]
    • Fox News contributor Lisa Kennedy Montgomery said, “These white women feel immortal because they are propped up, not only by each other in their little cluster cusses at their hippie charter schools, but also by these organizations.” She added, “A lot of them are lazy attention-seekers who are really doing this as a form of tourism.” [Fox News, The Five, 1/13/26]
    • Watters said protests are filled with “mostly women, crazy-looking women, trans women.” He continued, “Sometimes women have to be protected, whether they like it or not.” [Fox News, The Five, 1/13/26]
    • Watters: “Loud angry women following you around? That would get me to surrender. Trump has to get these boys some earplugs before they go deaf. The Karens are on the warpath.” [Fox News, Jesse Watters Primetime, 1/13/26]
    • Gutfeld: “It’s almost like the promiscuity of white female protesters regarding their causes tells you it’s not about the cause at all. It’s about the content, filming and posting it as a form of emotional enrichment.” [Fox News, Gutfeld!, 1/13/26]
    • Right-wing commentator Tim Pool mocked, “I think it's fair to say that all these middle-aged liberal women are hunting down ICE agents because they want to be around them.” Tate Brown responded, “Yeah, ICE Tracker is like a dating app for them.” [YouTube, Timcast IRL, 1/13/26]
    • On Jesse Watters Primetime, radio host and guest Dana Loesch blamed “a lack of hobbies, a lack of friends, a lack of exercise” for women attending anti-ICE protests. She also called them “self-indulgent women who think of themselves as these little micro crusaders.” [Fox News, Jesse Watters Primetime, 1/14/26]
    • Pool expressed: “When these liberal middle-aged women show up to ICE watch, they think they're playing red versus blue. They think they're playing paintball. They don't understand.” [YouTube, Timcast IRL, 1/14/26]
    • Kelly called these female protesters “whatever the female for incel is” and said “they've never gotten some in their lives.” [SiriusXM, The Megyn Kelly Show, 1/15/26]
    • Kelly again suggested people are protesting ICE because they aren't having sex: “If you're having positive interactions with men where you're going to bed with them ... you're not going out there and looking at all these men as the devil enemies,” Kelly said.     • On Gutfeld!, Heather Zumarraga: “Studies show that half of these — the majority of the younger liberal women have mental disorders.” She elaborated: “There are two reasons for these mental disorders. You probably don't have a job so you're dependent on state welfare. … You were talking about the women that don't have children.” [Fox News, Gutfeld!, 1/19/26]
    • Newsmax host Rob Schmitt labeled “neurotic, psychotic left-wing women” as a “huge part” of anti-ICE protests. [Newsmax, Rob Schmitt Tonight, 1/20/26]
    • Al Perrotta speculated that white female protesters were suffering from a “psychic injury from the Sexual Revolution indoctrination.” [The Daily Signal, 1/27/26]

  • Right-wing media have said that women are “being used” and “brainwashed” by Democrats and organizers

    • Jesse Watters: “These poor women who are getting hurt at ICE protests have been brainwashed. They’re being led like lambs to the slaughter.” He continued, “They’re pushing these women right into the front lines.” [Fox News, Jesse Watters Primetime, 1/7/26]
    • Watters: “It looks like the Democrat media industrial complex is preying on these vulnerable women. And they brainwash them into putting their lives on the line to protect illegal aliens.” [Fox News, The Five, 1/8/26]
    • Watters called liberal female protesters “human shields for the party machine.” He added that Minnesota is “drafting women to fight.” [Fox News, Jesse Watters Primetime, 1/9/26]
    • Greg Gutfeld said the shooting of Renee Good “was a set up” by the left but “they were hoping for a Black woman.” Gutfeld continued: “She is being used. The goal was to get somebody killed, create a spectacle that explodes, so you have riots, so you have protests, and hopefully, in some minds, revolution.” [Fox News, The Five, 1/9/26]
    • Watters: “Why is the Democratic Party sending women into the trenches to put their bodies in between foreign criminals and federal agents? Why would they do that? Why are they willing to sacrifice the lives of American women to protect foreign criminals?” [Fox News, The Five, 1/12/26]
    • Gutfeld: “We always hear in the military, cannon fodder, but I think we learned that protest — activist groups also have cannon fodder. They put her out in front, and she's expendable, and they lose her. It helps the cause. She's their cannon fodder.” [Fox News, Gutfeld!, 1/12/26]
    • Above a chyron about “white women taking lead in ICE protests,” Greg Gutfeld said, “White liberal females, man, they are ripe for the programming. And, man, they get programmed from the get go.” [Fox News, The Five, 1/13/26]  
    • Watters claimed that “white women are being used as cannon fodder. That's actually an explicit strategy by the left.” [Fox News, Jesse Watters Primetime, 1/13/26]
    • Executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show Andrew Kolvet told women that “they are marks of the communist front groups that are enacting a mass collective psychosis on them.” Kolvet continued: “These communist front groups can’t believe their luck that these women are dumb enough to be doing this and putting their lives on the line.” [Fox News, Jesse Watters Primetime, 1/13/26]
    • Watters: “It's not very chivalrous for the Democrat brass to foist them [women] in the middle of dangerous situations that’s putting them in danger and ICE in danger.” [Fox News, The Five, 1/14/26]
    • Watters claimed that Democrats were “using women as human shields to hold the country hostage.” [Fox News, Jesse Watters Primetime, 1/14/26]
    • Watters accused Minnesota of an “insurgency” and of “putting women onto the front lines.” [Fox News, Jesse Watters Primetime, 1/15/26]
    • Watters said that the women protesting were “crash test dummies”: “They’re being used like crash test dummies. They’re naive, they’re untrained. They’re just not cut out for this.” Podcaster Tim Pool also claimed, “The extremists are advocating that these middle-aged women show up to federal law enforcement operations where armed federal agents are seeking out criminal cartels, murderers, rapists, child traffickers.” [Fox News, Jesse Watters Primetime, 1/15/26]
    • Gutfeld attacked female protesters, declaring, “Normally, there’s a hard stop, it’s kids. If you have them at home you don't normally decide to charge a line of federal agents. When that line disappears, it's a clue that the brainwashing is complete.” Gutfeld continued: “The affluent white female liberal isn't just ‘AWFUL,’ she's aimless because the left's phony empowerment marginalized their real power. Their self-relevance was stripped away and replaced by a savior complex. As government expanded its role as provider, theirs shrunk.” [Fox News, Gutfeld!, 1/19/26]
