On Fox's The Five, Candace Owens scolds NFL players for protesting police brutality and not “welfare” or “fatherless absence”
Owens: “They're never kneeling when you talk about the welfare programs, they're never kneeling for fatherless absence”
From the August 8 edition of Fox News' The Five:
CANDACE OWENS (CO-HOST): Look, the problem with these protests is obvious. It was built upon something essentially that wasn't true. If you're going to stand up for something and you say it's police brutality and shootings, something that impacted during the year that all of this started, 2016 only 16 unarmed black men were shot and killed by police officers, total is .0004% of the black community was impacted by this. They're never kneeling when you talk about the welfare programs, they're never kneeling for fatherless absence, all of the other problems that we have in the black community. And that's what I took issue with, that was my problem.
