Fox regular: Democrats “want another Katrina" in Puerto Rico “for optics”

From the October 3 edition of Fox News' Happening Now:

LAWRENCE JONES: This is the same mayor [San Juan mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz] that had enough time to make this political shirt saying “Come save us.” The world is watching, America is watching. The president is trying to do the best he can, considering the situations that are already in Puerto Rico. But I think this is what the Democrats want. I think they want another Katrina for optics and to rally people. I think that's exactly what you guys want. And so I think it's un-American to do this in this time of trouble. I think the Democrats should be smart about this and come together.

MELISSA FRANCIS (HOST): Michael, go ahead and respond.

MICHAEL STARR HOPKINS: I think that -- I respect, you Lawrence, and we’ve talked before.  I -- that's a ridiculous, irresponsible statement. No one wants another Katrina. Thousands of people died, thousands upon thousands of people were injured, were harmed, were displaced. That’s not what anyone wants. But what we do want, what Democrats, and hopefully Republicans, want is a president that thinks before he tweets. That’s not tweeting at a golf course during a national crisis. That's not talking about football players while there’s devastation going on with Americans.
