SANDRA SMITH (CO-ANCHOR): The Democrats focus on kitchen table issues appears to have helped them pull off some major wins last night. Charles Payne, host of Making Money on Fox Business is here.

Alright, Charles, good to have you here, I just pulled out some of the biggest issues that New Yorkers say they are facing. We asked them, was it cost of living, was it crime, immigration? It was the affordability crisis in New York City that is king and was king in the election last night. 55% say that's the top issue with them. And as big as crime is, it was a distant second Charles.

CHARLES PAYNE (FOX BUSINESS HOST): Right. Maybe four years from now that'll flip, but right now, cost of living has always been a problem in New York, to a degree, Right? But I think what it is now is it is hurting folks who normally might have been able to pay. A lot of unemployed recent college grads in New York, a lot of people who have just moved to New York. And so, that's one of the big problems is, I think this boils down to — cost of living was important, but the fact is that so many people who might have normally been able to meet these demands are finding trouble.
