Fox guest warns Republican senators “they can call their careers over” if they don’t vote to confirm Trump’s Supreme Court nominee John Eastman: “If there’s a nomination … and they start trying to throw up road blocks for that, they can call their careers over” Written by Media Matters Staff Published 09/18/20 11:13 PM EDT Video file Citation From the September 18, 2020, edition of Fox News' The Ingraham Angle JOHN EASTMAN: The earlier comment that this is going to nationalize the Senate elections, it's going to nationalize the 2022 Senate elections. You got [Sen.] Lisa Murkowski up in 2022. You've got Chuck Grassley up in 2022. And if there's a nomination and [Sen. Mitch] McConnell sets hearings and they start trying to throw up road blocks for that, they can call their careers over in 2022. They will not get past their primaries. So, this is very significant and Mitch McConnell is the master of understanding the dynamics, the political dynamics in the Senate. But Lisa Murkowski and Chuck Grassley and Mitt Romney and others need to understand their own careers are on the line here as well.
