WILL CAIN (HOST): What in your estimation -- and we've talked about this with others but you have reported on this deeply, you've reported on what we have talked about tonight: the permanent class in Washington. What in your estimation is the true motivation about what we watched happen last night?

SEAN DAVIS (GUEST): Well, I think it's a declaration of war against the American public, against half of the country, if not more, that doesn't want to be ruled by a bunch of corrupt oligarchs. It's easy to look at what happened and say, "Oh, it's just about Trump. It's just about, you know, Donald Trump, and, you know, he's kind of different. It's not about anything else. No, this is about the ruling elites, the deep state, whatever you want to call it, the oligarchy deciding that it is up to them to pick who we get to vote for and then it's up to them to decide who gets to be on the ballot when Republicans vote. This was a declaration of war against the American public for having the audacity to think they get to decide who represents them because it is obvious what this was about. This was about disqualifying Donald Trump from ever running again. This is their kill shot to take out Donald Trump's political career.
