STEVE DOOCY (HOST): At one point the President of the United States turned around to Joe Biden and said essentially there's a moon shot, we're going to try to cure cancer during the final year of his presidency.

CLAYTON MORRIS: Well something interesting happened last night. Some big West Wing fans took to Twitter and noticed this. Here was a tweet from Ronen on Twitter said “This Obama State Of The Union is unambiguously based on a West Wing episode. Aaron Sorkin must have a little spring in his step.” So let's watch The West Wing from back in the early 2000s and then watch we'll the president. Watch.

ROB LOWE ON THE WEST WING: We've reached for the stars, and never have we been closer to having them in our grasp. And so I announce to you tonight, we will cure cancer by the end of this decade.

DOOCY: Moon shot, reach for the stars.

MORRIS: If you're going to rip off somebody, rip off Aaron Sorkin.
