BRIAN KILMEADE (CO-HOST): Fresh off being named GQ’s “Citizen of the Year,” anthem-kneeler and former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been given another award.

AINSLEY EARHARDT (CO-HOST): This time he’s going to be the recipient of 2017 Sports Illustrated Muhammed Ali Legacy Award, which according to the magazine, is awarded to people who make the world a better place.

STEVE DOOCY (CO-HOST): But is Kaepernick living up to the legacy of a sports legend like Muhammed Ali?

[...]

KEVIN JACKSON: They just turned Muhammed Ali's Legacy Award into toilet paper. And, you know, a lot of people are telling me, Kevin, I feel like it's a participation award. Look, Kaepernick is no Ali. And the idea that the left continue to want to sell this lie to America, that this man stands for something that supposedly is happening in this country that's not, just shows you that the left will never give up on this narrative. And it's sad because it’s -- first of all, it’s Muhammad Ali, a person who actually did stand for an oppressive Democrat-controlled government who wanted him to go fight in a war. And as he said, no Vietnamese has ever called me the n-word, but I get called it here in America. But now we've got these kids who believe that they’re being oppressed, and I would defy you, take any of these kneelers -- that by the way should all get the same award because it's worthless, it's just a participation trophy -- but take all of them and compare their lives to what Muhammed Ali and the blacks of the past went through in fighting real oppression and you get an idea of what's going on here.

KILMEADE: Well, let's talk about the differences. Muhammed Ali gets told you better get drafted -- you are drafted, go. And he says I'm not. It's against my religious beliefs, I won't do it, so he is out. They strip him of his heavyweight title, which is bizarre in retrospect. And for three and a half years, he has absolutely no money. Colin Kaepernick has already made a zillion dollars where there wasn't that much money in sports back then anyway. And he walked away from that contract in 2016. He would have been still on that roster. They would have had to cut him or he would have had payout.

JACKSON: You are exactly right. So Colin Kaepernick chose his own fate and there are many other bad comparisons. One of the things about this award, Brian, is they say it's a philanthropic award. Colin Kaepernick gives money to terrorists. So look at the people he has donated money to, these are radicals in many cases. Very anti-American, ethno-centrically racist black organizations. And again, built on a lie. It would be different if we could really get behind this and feel like it was done in the spirit of the guy getting a raw deal. Muhammed Ali got a raw deal. Colin Kaepernick did not get a raw deal. And the sad part also is Colin Kaepernick is an example of how great America is, a kid whose black father walked away from him, whose Italian mother put him up for adoption, and a white family adopts him, and he is completely anti-white, pro-black this. And for the sake of this discussion, I want to let everybody know, all of us are pro-America. If Kaepernick had a legitimate beef, we would be with him, but he doesn't.
