Fox Business contributor attacks “idiot children” in college admissions scandal: “If the kid is so stupid they can't get into Yale or USC why does it matter?”

Dagen McDowell: “The parents of idiot children, who they were embarrassed by, had to go out and ... basically commit crimes to get their kids into school”

From the June 7 edition of Fox Business' Mornings with Maria Bartiromo:

Dagen McDowell: “The parents of idiot children who they were embarrassed by had to go out and ... basically commit crimes to get their kids into school”

MARIA BARTIROMO (ANCHOR): I think that [the scandal] has put a sting throughout academia, universities, whereas they're trying to look at their own behavior and make sure that there is nothing like that going on.

BOB NARDELLIE (FORMER CEO, HOME DEPOT): Yeah. Yeah, especially in the athletic department, Maria. I mean, there's always that concern or issue is did that student get in because of their academic capability or their athletic capability?

BARTIROMO: Or money.

NARDELLIE: Or money, yeah, contributions.

DAGEN MCDOWELL (FOX BUSINESS CONTRIBUTOR): But now though, the parents of idiot children, who they were embarrassed by, had to go out and pay massive amounts of dollars and basically commit crimes to get their kids into school. It's just appalling. Like, if the kid is so stupid they can't get into Yale or USC why does it matter? Again their daughter, who they got into USC, she already had a booming social media business. What does a degree matter?

JOANIE COURTNEY (CHIEF WORKFORCE ANALYST, EMPLOYBRIDGE): And she didn't want to go. She didn't even want to go.

MCDOWELL: Right. They were embarrassed by her clearly, they wanted that USC diploma so they could brag about it to their friends. It's just the crazy world of Hollyweird and rich people.
