After weeks of Epstein controversy, failed foreign policy promises, and economic uncertainty, two of MAGA’s most prominent propagandists are lashing out at their fellow Republicans for criticizing President Donald Trump. Fox News’ Sean Hannity and The Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles have called out “people that claim to be Trump supporters” and “cynical critics on the right” as the president’s crises continue to mount.

Sean Hannity and Michael Knowles have condemned right-wing criticism of Trump
Starting with the August 5 edition of his radio show, Hannity launched a multi-day attack on “super MAGA” Trump supporters.

“You've got this other group now of super MAGA people. That's how I would describe them. They think they're more MAGA than anybody else out there,” Hannity complained. “And it cracks me up, because they don't even interpret Donald Trump's actions and words accurately, for example, on foreign policy. They would have you think no forever wars means isolationism."
The Fox host continued his rant the following day, chastising social media users who “want to draw attention to themselves” by criticizing Trump. “Is any one president going to be perfect? No," Hannity scolded.

“Some of the loudest voices lately are people that claim to be Trump supporters. And I find their criticisms, in most cases, beyond petty. ‘Well, this is why we don't like Donald Trump.’ This is the best presidency you're all ever going to get in your lifetime. I can promise you that. And if you're expecting perfection, you're dreaming."
On August 7, Knowles called out Trump’s “critics on the right” who are calling for more deportations: “There are some people on the right who seem to exist only to be saboteurs to the Trump administration, who are either positioning themselves as more moderate than Trump or even sometimes more to the right of Trump."

“But all they ever seem to do is criticize Trump and try to gum up the works in the most right-wing administration that we’ve had that happened to be elected with the popular vote, and they’re very sus people."

Podcasters have called out the Trump administration’s handling of Epstein and mass deportations
Many notable podcasters in the right-wing media ecosystem have recently criticized Trump. Joe Rogan — who endorsed Trump in 2024 to his millions of listeners and social media followers — has called Trump’s mass deportations “scary” and “fucking crazy."
Rogan also called out FBI director Kash Patel over the Epstein cell video: “The guy's saying there's no tapes, there's no video. That doesn't make any sense. Everyone knows it doesn't make any sense."

“The film has a fucking minute missing from it. Like, do you think we're babies? Like, what is this?”
One panelist on the PBD Podcast called the administration’s handling of Epstein the “biggest freaking fumble,” while a Flagrant podcast co-host said “the Epstein thing for me was just the last straw in terms of you not getting things done. … The more they're doing to hide it, the more I'm like, oh, they're hiding something crazy.”
Hannity and Knowles' condemnation of any right-wing criticism of Trump reflects a growing rift between the online MAGA podcast-verse and more traditional media outlets. As more online figures criticize Trump over Epstein, it opens the door for them to criticize other failures and disappointments of the administration — and in MAGA world, disloyalty is unacceptable.
