From the October 12 edition of MSNBC's MSNBC Live:

STEPHANIE RUHLE (HOST): How does the GOP survive this? We’re now seeing [RNC chairman] Reince [Priebus] sort of back on board, on the team. What’s the future hold?

CHARLIE SYKES: Well, by the way, that’s a very interesting question because Reince Priebus and Paul Ryan are very, very good friends. And I’m very interested to see what is Reince Priebus going to do? He has been all-in with Donald Trump. Is he going to stand by and watch Donald Trump throw Paul Ryan under the bus? Look, Donald Trump has made the decision -- he and Steve Bannon have made the decision that if they're going to lose, they're going to lose as ugly as possible. And they talk a lot about burning it down, and apparently that means burning down the Republican Party. It means that if he's going to lose, he's OK with taking down the majorities of the party. It's hard to overstate what's happening here, the meltdown, or the reckoning that will have to come after this election is over.
