Charlie Kirk: “I was getting 500 emails a minute calling for a civil war”

Kirk: Coup participants feel “if you're not going to arrest John Brennan, then how can you possibly arrest me? That's not the way things work, unfortunately.”

CHARLIE KIRK (HOST): I want to be careful not to lose our stream because in the prior video we did — I warned against this, but we did show the woman unfortunately getting shot, and I showed that for a reason and I'll tell you the reason throughout the stream. It's just to kind of sober down some of the conversation when I was getting 500 emails a minute calling for a civil war, just so everyone was reminded of just kind of what happened today. I just thought that was a necessary point of it.

But I have to be careful the way I talk about this or else our stream is just going to magically disappear, but people saw that there were alternative treatments to the Chinese coronavirus that might possibly work, like hydroxychloroquine. They saw the human cost of lockdowns. And they saw that their leaders were defying the lockdowns themselves and they felt as if their leaders were intentionally lying and misleading them.

...

So what ends up happening is there's this cumulative effect that builds up. There's this "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" for those of you that know the movie Network. And now I'm not necessarily — again, I'm not supporting people that just start to, you know, barge down doors and buildings and all of this but all of a sudden this stuff then builds and it builds.

And I think the two tipping points, Isabel, was number one, the Hunter Biden story. I think the Hunter Biden story really sent people over the edge. Also the nonindictments of Peter Strzok and John Brennan and what ends up, what ends up really spreading is this feeling of absolute lawlessness. Does that make sense?

ISABEL BROWN (CO-HOST): Yes, yes.

KIRK: So it's as if you're not going to arrest John Brennan, then how can you possibly arrest me? That's not the way things work, unfortunately — they will arrest you if you all the sudden storm the Capitol building and they will if they haven't yet. A lot of people are going to get, unfortunately, my prediction, as I said, federal terrorism charges for what happened here, and they're going to go after it very hard.
