BILL HEMMER (ANCHOR): In a sober and straightforward speech on culture and the Constitution, the president saying a radical movement is attempting to demolish this treasured and precious inheritance of the U.S., saying the radicals want you to think our country was founded on oppression, not freedom. Also saying he would sign an executive order to teach what he called patriotic education. I want to bring in John Roberts, my colleague on the North Lawn from the White House, and also a nod to Caesar Rodney, a founding father, from the state of Delaware. John, good afternoon to you, there at the White House.
JOHN ROBERTS (FOX NEWS CORRESPONDENT): Bill, and good afternoon to you as well. As you see, the president holding up the 1776 Commission creation proclamation and the president really taking a moment here as he has so many times in the past to hammer Democrats for not standing up to what he calls "left-wing mobs" who are trying to tear down statues in cities across America. The president suggesting that a new generation of Americans are being indoctrinated by leftist educators who are trying to erase American history.
